This part was used in the design of the BBa_K300001 integrative base vector for S. cerevisiae. In particular, it is used together with the Homologous Region BBa_K300987 in the default configuration of this base vector. See the BBa_K300001 Experience page for details. Here, a brief description of the successfully used host strains and integrated BioBrick parts using BBa_K300986 and BBa_K300987 as Homologous Regions is reported (all by using BBa_K300001 as the vector backbone):
The yeast colonies resistant to the G418 after the integration procedure (see BBa_K300001 Experience page) suggested the success of the homologous recombination, but the correct integration in the genomic region with the Gal system has not been validated yet by PCR. |
